Gorean Wines is about the Gorean lifestyle. It also deals with current BDSM subjects. Orginally, it dealt with a wine inspired by the works of John Norman but has since grown to include my thoughts on what it means to be Gorean, both online and in day to day life. This blog deals with "adult" subject matter. Please read only if over the age of consent in your area.
About me or the who, what, why of this blog.
Adam Zadeh is the virtual me in the world of Second Life. He is what I want and hope to be someday, although he does tend to be a little darker and harsher than the real everyday me.
Adam is a native of Gor, and although his creator is not they both will always try to act in accordance with how a Gorean would act (at least to the best of my understanding of what Gor is) in all aspects of his real and virtual life.
Recently I've returned to Second Life and Gor after an extended absence although I do not spend as much time as I would like exploring and role playing.
I do however consider myself to be a Gorean in the best sense of the word, meaning that I do believe in much of the philosophy of Gor, and no; it's not all woman are submissive just looking for a Master and that men are always Superior. "Being Gorean" is about honor, dignity, integrity and traditions. You can be Gorean without ever reading a word of the books, or even hearing the term. It's just something you are.
Gor is, in my opinion at least, a subset of the wider BDSM community, a community I've been part of for over 20 years in real life, although again you don't have to be "kinky" to be part of the Gorean community. It's a philosophy, a way of life.
The purpose of this blog is to try to introduce Gorean Philosophy and the BDSM lifestyle to those that may not be familiar with it, or to those that have learned about Gor via Second Life or IRC channel and wish to bring it into their day to day lives. Originally I started this website to promote a winery I was associated with. However the site continues to grow and change over time.
While I do not claim to have read all the books or understand everything they offer, I do hope to provide you with another way of thinking about the world and your place in it.
Comments are encouraged and will be posted without editing on my part, however I do retain the right not to post any comments that I find disrespectful or hateful. You are welcome and encouraged to disagree with anything I post. One of the jobs of a writer is to piss you off, and if your pissed off then your thinking and that is what I hope to get you to do.
Think.
