Editors note: I'll return to this in a day or so, I think it needs work but it's worth reading. My girl's blog is here and worth reading as well. In fact, read it first before reading this.
I've been working with the slave I simply call "girl" on the idea of Grace and Beauty.
I find the two interlinked. You can not have true beauty without grace and you can't have grace without beauty. I think...no, I believe that if a girl pays attention to what she is doing, how her body moves, where she is oriented in space...all that matters. She begins to look at her self differently and hopefully more confidently. In that confidence is beauty. The Gorean saying of "Exquisite beauty and absolute obedience" begins with that idea of grace in my opinion.
In the world of Second Life or other virtual worlds the only way to express this is through service, thus you get 1000 words on the simple service of tea. Which is not wrong in it's own right...often it is the only way a girl can express her personality, humor or servitude. Although I fear that so many girls get caught up in the writing of the words, they forget the meaning.
I have been lucky to find a girl that is willing to work hard in real life to explore her submissive nature online. She is working diligently to act with grace in her real life, even the simple act of making a cup of tea becomes a thing of beauty when done with grace. I wonder if others have noticed a difference in her in reality?
Her serve in SL was a bit less complex this morning....there was no need for it, her heart, her desire to serve came through in a few simple words. She realized the power of a well chosen word. The grace of simplicity.
Over the past few days I've been lucky enough to chat with previous slaves of mine about various things. One even hinted for my collar again after a extended leave...one thing I realized was that in my own small way I made them better. Better slaves, and better human beings. Call it the Master's ego if you will, but I feel that in showing them an alternative lifestyle, demanding from them "Exquisite beauty and absolute obedience" I have done my little bit to make their lives better and the world a little bit of a better place.
Yea, no ego there at all!
Gorean Wines is about the Gorean lifestyle. Orginally, it dealt with a wine inspired by the works of John Norman but has since grown to include my thoughts on what it means to be Gorean, both online and in day to day life. This blog may deal with "adult" subject matter. Please read only if over the age of consent in your area.
